  1. Amazing Alice attended an awesome affair.

    Barry brought bountiful baked buns.

Claire came cajoling, carrying countless croissants.

    “Deliscious!” Daryl declared.

    Everywhere Erin entered, entertainment erupted!

    Fred's fabulous fondue flowed freely.

    Gluttonous Gary gorged garishly.

    “Hooray!” hollered happy Harry.

    Ingrid inquired incessantly, “Ice-cream?!”

    Jeremy jumped joyously.

    Kayla kept kicking kinsmen's knees.

    Loudly, Lola laughed.

    Mike made marvelous munchies.

    Nervous Naidelyn never noticed Ned.

    Obnoxiously, Oscar opened offerings.

    Perplexed, Patricia pondered postulates.

    Quinn questioned quetzals quietly.

    Ravenous Richard rambunctiously ruminated.

    Scared Susan stashed supplies.

    Terrible Trisha terrorized toddlers.

    Unphased, Umberto unorganized utensils.

  2. He

Watercolors are too dry to paint an image of this wet scene
So I dare not try to paint what will soon be washed away.

The precipitation that fills his little hands are tainted
With the confusion of the grey that clouds the matter of his brain.

When he couldn’t meet our eyes and he couldn’t speak his mind
And he grunted his frustrations that were lost in translation.

And when we lied to ourselves with our eyes not seeing
And our ears just bleeding from the truth we resisted.

We came to reckon with the reality we tried to dissolve
Because we were afraid to feel the tearful irresolution.

The truth being the autistic grey of his mind would always be
His greatest struggle and his greatest strength.

  3. Dreams
    To be a teacher
    To be a mentor
    To be a role model
So much more than these names
    Caregiver
    Custodian
    Peacemaker
    Cheerleader
    Warden
    Nurse
    Protector
It is so much more than teaching and I wouldn’t choose anything else for my dream.

  4. Reading
    By Melissa Potts

    Hot days...tropical spaces,
Reading can take you to these places.
Where do you want to go?
    It's up to you,
    Just pick a book,
That reflects how you want, your setting to look.
